A combination of indoor/outdoor loose-tube cable is better suited to handle the strain caused by fluctuations in temperature and humidity levels. The water-blocking yarn in the optical fiber expands, absorbs excess water, protects the fiber core, and meets the national fire prevention code standards.
Loose tube cable
Loose tube cables are manufactured with 1 to 6 subunits, water blocking yarn, aramid yarn and fire resistant PVC outer sheath. To further strengthen the cable, a central strength member and waterproof tape can be added as an option, available for 72 fibers. In addition, each sub-unit consists of 12 colored fiberglass, absorbent yarns wrapped in a 3mm diameter PVC jacket; the sub-units can be color-coded or numbered sequentially. All component materials are compliant.
Riser Dry Loose Tube Optical Cable
Riser Dry Loose Tube Cable has similar specifications to Waterproof Dry Loose Tube Cable, only Riser Dry Loose Tube Cable has waterproof rated material. Riser dry loose optical cable is manufactured with 1 to 6 subunits, water-blocking yarn, aramid yarn and waterproof PVC outer sheath. Addition of excipients is optional. Water blocking tape is also available for 72 fiber optics. Each subunit consists of 12 colored fiberglass and absorbent yarns, encased in a 3mm diameter PVC jacket; subunits can be sequentially numbered or color coded according to specific application requirements. All component materials also meet the requirements.
OSP Dry Type Loose Tube Optical Cable
OSP Loose Tube Cables are designed to withstand the harshest outdoor environments, including direct burial applications. This dry type loose tube optical cable consists of 1 to 6 subunits, water blocking yarn, dielectric reinforcement, aramid rip wire and PVC outer sheath. Each subunit contains 12 colored glass fibers and water-swellable yarns with a 3 mm diameter PVC sheath.
