Direct buried optical cable is a communication optical cable laying method. This kind of optical cable is armored with steel tape or steel wire on the outside, and is directly buried in the ground. It is required to have the performance of resisting external mechanical damage and the performance of preventing soil corrosion.
Direct buried optical cable is a communication optical cable laying method. This kind of optical cable is armored with steel tape or steel wire on the outside, and is directly buried in the ground. It is required to have the performance of resisting external mechanical damage and the performance of preventing soil corrosion.
Direct buried optical cable laying process
1. The laying of direct buried optical cables is generally carried out by two methods: manual lifting and laying and mechanical traction laying.
2. When laying the optical cable by mechanical traction, pulleys should be installed along the line to prevent the optical cable from being dragged to the ground. The optical cable should not be bent less than the specified radius of curvature and pulled too tightly.
3. When manually lifting and laying optical cables, necessary training should be carried out for the lifting and laying personnel, and there should be a unified command and dispatch when lifting and laying, so that the optical cables are uniformly stressed and in the same direction, so as to ensure that the entire optical cable is safely lifted to the edge of the ditch, section by section Put into the bottom of the trench. When lifting the optical cable, the cable must not be twisted or bent.
4. In the process of laying or after laying, the outer skin of the optical cable should be checked in time. If it is damaged, it should be repaired immediately. After the direct buried optical cable is laid, the insulation resistance of the optical cable sheath to ground should be checked according to relevant requirements.
5. After the optical cable is laid, the ground insulation test of the metal sheath of the optical cable should be carried out according to the regulations and requirements, and the insulation barrier should be dealt with in time.
6. When the optical cable is laid on a slope with a slope greater than 20 degrees and a slope length greater than 30 meters, it should be laid in an "S" shape.
7. The directly buried optical cable must be checked and confirmed to meet the quality acceptance standards before backfilling. The backfill soil of the optical cable trench should be backfilled with 15 cm thick crushed soil or fine soil, and should be leveled manually. It is strictly forbidden to push stones, bricks, etc. into the trench. The backfill should be 10 cm above the ground.
8.The direct buried optical cable joint should be arranged in a place with higher terrain, relatively flat and stable geology, and should avoid places such as ponds, rivers, ditches, roads, etc. where construction and maintenance are inconvenient, or the joints may be disturbed. The optical cable joint pit is generally located on the right side of the optical cable routing direction; the joint pit depth should generally meet the requirements for the buried depth of the optical cable; a cement cover plate or other protection measures against mechanical damage can be used above the optical cable joint box. The optical cable connector should be reserved for a reel of not less than 4m, and the reel should be neat; the lead-out position of the monitoring cable should be as consistent as possible.
